Red Flyer again to final victory in Divoza championships

NWR studbook stallion Spoorzicht's Red Flyer (Sport name: Renolution's Red Flyer) won the final of the KNHS-Divoza championship for six-year-old dressage ponies on Saturday, Aug. 17, in Kootwijk. A prolongation of sorts, as last year he earned the title in the five-year-old final. Both times he won with Bo van Nimwegen in the saddle.

The finals were conducted over two parts. In the first round the ponies were judged by judges Mascha Reijs and Jeff Heijstek under the saddle of their own riders. Grades were given for walk, trot and canter, carrying, suppleness, general impression and conformation. The best three ponies per age category were then presented and judged by two guest riders. The judges in this round also graded again and the pony with the best average of all scores was honored as the winner. The guest riders in this final were Kimberly Pap, Suzanne van de Ven and Annelotte Felix.

Bo and Red Flyer

In the class for six-year-olds, the scores were very close in the first round. Renolution's Red Flyer went through to the second round with Bo van Nimwegen in the lead. There the quality of the pony was clearly underlined by the guest riders, as Kimberly Pap and Suzanne van de Ven gave no less than 100 and 95 points to this Welsh topper.

Four Welsh ponies in top three

As many as four Welsh ponies finished in the top three in the finals on Aug. 17 in Kootwijk.
